Clear Vein / Thread Vein / Hyperpigmentation / Rosacea Treatment at Ciao Bella in Bristol
Ciao Bella Aesthetics is a professional medical cosmetic clinic specializing in treating common skin conditions like thread veins, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation. These skin conditions affect most of the population and cause unwanted skin imperfections, especially on the face. As a result, they can make people feel embarrassed and unconfident in themselves.
Here is a brief explanation of each skin condition:
Thread veins are small red blood vessels existing in the dermis layer of the skin. You cannot always see these blood vessels through the skin unless they start to dilate. Once that happens, they will be visible to the naked eye. Thread veins can develop almost anywhere on the body, such as the legs, arms, and face.
More than 75% of the population develops thread veins at some point in their lives. But, contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t just affect women and senior citizens. Younger people can develop thread veins if certain risk factors exist, such as lousy genetics, sedentary lifestyle, hormonal imbalance, excessive sun exposure, or obesity.
Rosacea is another cosmetic skin condition causing the blood vessels in your skin to dilate. However, the difference here is that rosacea can also cause your skin to develop visible red patches and bumps, usually on the face. The symptoms are much more visible and embarrassing. Rosacea is caused by spicy foods, genetics, hormones, or prolonged sun exposure.
Do you spend a lot of time out under the sun? If so, then you might suffer hyperpigmentation of the skin. This condition discolours the skin and causes dark spots to scatter on the photodamaged skin. You must combat this problem by staying out of the sun and seeking an effective skin rejuvenation treatment.
Introducing the Harmony XL Pro – The Ultimate Laser Treatment Solution
There is no permanent cure for treating thread veins, rosacea, or hyperpigmentation. However, there are some very effective treatments available to reduce the visibility of the blood vessels and dark spots. Cia Bella Aesthetics utilises the power of a revolutionary new laser treatment solution for the most common cosmetic problems and skin conditions. It is called the Harmony XL Pro machine.
The Harmony XL Pro machine can administer an advanced intense pulse light (IPL) therapy treatment to mitigate the skin imperfections associated with thread veins, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation. IPL therapy is a type of laser treatment which delivers light to seven different skin layers to eliminate pigmentation flaws.
Most patients experience the full results of the treatment after about 5 or 6 sessions with the aesthetician. Once the treatments have been delivered, the results should remain for between 12 to 18 months. After that, we will recommend that you come in again for another IPL therapy routine.
In addition, our aesthetician and nurses will give you additional tips on how to make simple lifestyle changes to prevent these skin conditions from flaring up again. We recommend limited your sun exposure and following a cleaner diet. You’d be amazed on these two changes could make a world of different.

Frequently asked QUESTIONS rosacea
If your symptoms are all about redness then laser treatment is an ideal choice. The most effective treatment is IPL (intense pulsed light). The laser is used to get rid of the inflamed blood vessels that are visible on your skin.
This significantly reduces flushing and redness on the skin. You will have to go for a few sessions for this to work and the number of sessions depends on the severity of your rosacea as well. Of course, you will know more after consultation.
Do remember that laser treatment is not a cure for this condition. It will reduce the redness and other symptoms by at least 40 – 60%. The result may also last anywhere from months to years.
However, a few months or years down the line many new blood vessels may show up that will require follow-up.
There is much debate about this method for rosacea because chemical peels involve dissolving dead skin cells and so this can lead to even more irritation and redness.
However, all of this depends on the acids and application technique your skin expert chooses. The most common acid that is used for this is glycolic acid.
It is used at a low concentration to treat the symptoms of rosacea. Redness is reduced as the blood vessels are dilated through the use of this peel.
The chemical peels also take a few sessions to fully work and this also depends on you and the severity of your rosacea. One thing to note here is that you should not opt for a chemical peel if your skin is extremely dry.
This is because sensitive and dry skin people are not the perfect candidates for this. Your skin may damage further. Of course, one of our skin experts that you consult with will provide the treatment option that is best suited to your skin and needs.
If you are tired of all the redness and flushing due to rosacea then seek treatment now. Both these treatments are not cures. However, they relieve symptoms and the results can last for years.
If you also want to relieve yourself of the symptoms of rosacea then book a consultation with one of our experts now!
