What are Polynucleotides and why would they be good for me?

We would like to introduce polynucleotides, the newest treatment to hit the aesthetics industry and the hot topic in all our Ciao Bella Aesthetics Clinics. 

You may have heard about Polynucleotides, the skin boosting and regenerative injectables that have been trending. They’ve started revolutionising the aesthetics and industry and have become an increasingly popular solution amongst patients for treating the signs of ageing and other skin complaints. Sometimes, Polynucleotides treatments can be referred to as Biostimulators, Biofillers, or Biorevitalisers (depending on the manufacturer and composition), but they all contain the core anti-ageing ingredient; polynucleotides.

Polynucleotides come as an injectable serum derived from the DNA of salmon or trout sperm (very similar to human DNA) and are then purified and sterilised for medical use. They are proteins that act like messenger molecules. We call them ‘biostimulators’: they kick-start skin regeneration to repair and replace the damage that comes with ageing.

How many treatments will I need?

At Ciao Bella Aesthetics your roughly pay around £200-600 per treatment. (dependant on size if area treated).

But when will I see results?

Unlike other anti-ageing treatments such as skin boosters that typically take around 3 months to see improvements, improvements in skin quality from polynucleotide treatments can be seen in just a few weeks (or when combined with hyaluronic acid, results can be seen instantly). Most people tend to see differences around the 3–4 week point. Your skin will continue to improve with the best results being seen at around 3 months.
